Heidi Pollyea is a singer/songwriter, pianist and guitarist with over 20 years of teaching and performing experience including musical directorships, cruise ship, hotel, corporate and session work, festivals and concerts as well as university and secondary school teaching. She studied jazz piano, music theory and voice at Indiana University and the University of Miami where she earned a Bachelors and Masters of Music respectively. In between she also received a teaching certificate for grades K-12. She stays current performing original and originally done folk, rock and jazz around the Southeast region.

Heidi’s training has resulted in extensive experience as a master instructor – writing, accompanying, performing and leading music in styles as varied as classical, jazz, gospel, folk, rock, pop, soul and r&b.  Many of her former and current students are successful performers. Whether on a career path, studying for pure enjoyment or anything in between, Heidi’s students get the benefit of musical knowledge imparted with a nurturing approach. Though she enjoys teaching students of all ages, Heidi especially loves to work with tweens, teens, and adults at any stage of life as she believes wholeheartedly that it is never too late to realize your dreams.
