Beginning piano and ukulele

 

Brooksie Wells is a veteran singer/songwriter with three top ten folk albums in the last five years. She began playing piano at five and took up guitar as a teen. Her compositions have appeared in films and on albums, and she was a signed writer with Chappell Music.

While her children were young, she was artist in residence at The Montessori School of McLean in Virginia. While there, she taught both group and private lessons and took the Montessori Music training. While touring and creating original works for her albums, she also taught piano at Drum and Strum Music in Warrenton, Virginia, and at Classic Guitars in Gainesville, Virginia. Her children’s album “Pineapples, Butterflies and Dinosaurs” is streaming on Spotify 

Brooksie uses the Faber method for beginning students and will work with very young children if they have begun reading. She specializes in young learners and helps them get an appreciation of piano.
