George Calhoon has been teaching percussion for 28 years in the Atlanta area. George has been trained in percussion by Jack Bell (Georgia State University & Atlanta Symphony Orchestra), Mike Cebulski (Dekalb College, Emory University), Mark Yancich (Atlanta Symphony Orchestra) and Bill Molenhof (Berklee University Boston).

George teaches students at any level from beginners to professionals. He teaches piano, snare drum, mallets, orchestral percussion, drum line techniques, Latin percussion and drum set. Lessons include sight-reading, music theory and improvisation.

George is a professional musician who performs and records with many artists including Heaven Davis, Derek St. Holmes, Ron Kimble, Lee Moses, Francine Reed, Lotsa Papa, Percy Sledge, House Rocker Johnson, Palomino Duck, Sonny Rhodes, The Shadows, Bob Page Society Orchestra and many more.
