Edward Wilson (M.M., B.M.E.) has over 15 years teaching experience in the Dekalb County and Atlanta public school systems of Metro Atlanta, GA. His tenures at Cross Keys High School and Stone Mountain High School have earned him the distinction of “Teacher of the Year” as well as co-director of the Superintendent’s Honor’s Jazz Ensemble.

Edward is active on the local music scene as a studio producer/clinician and jazz bassist. He is the regular bassist in the Elliot Holden group and currently holds the position of Band Director and Music Instructor at the International Community School of Dekalb County, serving refugee children from around the world.

Mr. Wilson is a graduate of the University of Miami/Coral Gables, FL and the University of South Carolina Columbia, SC, obtaining a Master’s in studio production and music education.

As a current band director, Edward is proficient in the instruction of all school band instruments including flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and tuba. Mr. Wilson is also an adjunct instructor at Troy University, Covington campus.
